Dexar 2 is a corticosteroid with gluconeogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is a synthetic derivative of the glucocorticoid hydroxycortisone. It is used in the
treatment of metabolic disease in ruminants and inflammatory diseases in a
number of animal species.

| Indication: | DEXAR 2 is indicated for the treatment of shock; inflammatory and allergic disorders; bovine ketosis; hypoadrenocorticism, chronic granulomatous enteritis in horses. It may be used as supportive therapy in mastitis, metritis, arthritis, shipping fever, pneumonia, laminitis, snake bite and retained placenta. |

| Contraindications | • Use cautiously in animals receiving none steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. • Don’t use during last term of gestation unless abortion or early parturition required. • May induce the first stage of parturition when administered during the last trimester of pregnancy and may precipitate premature parturition followed by dystocia, fetal death, retained placenta, and metritis. • Use cautiously in animals with renal impairment. |
